Cinemanix Productions has been open and serving up some sweet visual effects and animation services to both Pittsburgh area and national clients since 2003. On February 7 they opened their doors to local ad agency folk and film students — thanks to Women In Film and Media, Pittsburgh, who organized the event and sent out invites.

I’ve been working with this local motion capture and visual effects production studio as a visual effects generalist and creative director. That evening I helped give demonstrations on the green screen stage, discussing the production, and post-production process involved. At the other end of the warehouse, visitors were treated to demonstrations of motion capture and its benefits to the animation workflow.
